Merry Christmas from Bonners Ferry

Just wanted to send greetings from this soon-to-be family-of-three. We wish we could have all been together, but we did have a really wonderful Christmas and it sounds like you all did, too.
Love you lots!

Cousins

Emily looks a little bigger here, but I think it's an optical illusion because she's closer to the camera.

And here are all three cousins: Emily, Karissa, and Alexis.

Rosie the dog

Mom and Dad were here last Saturday, and brought the new puppy, who was very well behaved.

This last one should give you an idea of how big Rosie is.

Garden Valley

We went up to Garden Valley last weekend for the Saturday afternoon for kind of an early birthday turkey dinner, and took a few photos too.

Mom and Dad had just picked their pumpkins before we got there, apparently. Here are a few on the front deck. The house color is accurately represented here, I think.

And here are a few more in the yard while we were trying to set up a scenic tableau to shoot photos of Emily. I took the wrong lens for the job, but I still got a few good ones of her. They're over at the other blog, emilyclaire.tumblr.com (which is also in the sidebar, of course).

And here's a shot of the sun on the hill across the river and slightly south. Taken from the back deck. Or maybe the front yard, I don't remember.

Finally Alexis!

We were finally able to borrow a camera to get some of those always wanted photos of the little one. In these pictures she was playing with her mobile and just passed out. I think that she got that gene to be able to sleep anywhere. Must be nice...

this is the luner eclipse that just happened not too long ago.

Mowed grass

I finally mowed the lawn yesterday, and here's a photo from this morning to prove it. The lawn is starting to recover from the brutal July heat, and turn more green again. It also helps that the sprinklers had just gone off.

Here's our first sighting of Jellybean!
We had our first ultrasound today.
It was the most incredible thing I've ever seen.

Happy Trails

Goodbye 2001 Honda Accord EX coupe. You served us well, with your 4-cylinder gas mileage and flawless reliability. We took you camping before Rachel and I even started dating. It was a group trip, and we decided to ride together. People assumed we were together. It was awkward. But soon enough, we were together. You've been a good car through and through, but alas, I had taken a loan to purchase you. The low low interest rate of 3.49% wasn't enough to keep you around - we needed to get rid of the payment. We were pleased you sold so quickly, and to a good friend, too.

Hello 1994 Range Rover LWB County. Yeah, you've got a few dings here and there. And your V8's gas mileage is less than stellar. But you're paid for. And that makes up for a bunch of little problems. And you actually fit in the garage a little better, with a length six inches shorter. I hope you're with our family for many miles.

Alexis at 6 weeks

The one below is a little younger than six weeks. Not sure exactly how old she was in this one.
